Sunday 13th July 4.30pm The Priory, Leominster. Ticket £5 from Priory Arts
We are pleased to be working with Priory Arts on their Priory 900 celebrations. Celebrated author and stone-mason Andrew Ziminski discusses how and why you build a Priory and will be signing copies of his new book Church Going.
Celebrating 900 years since the refounding of Leominster Priory by Henry I in 1125, the exhibition and events will explore Leominster’s amazing history – including the Priory as a place of pilgrimage, the iconic Herefordshire School of Romanesque Art, and its famous Ducking Stool. What did the Normans do for Leominster? In a display about the Bayeux Tapestry, find out what the Priory’s last abbess had to do with 1066!
