Moth by Melody Razak will be published on 24th Jun Moth by Melody Razak will be published on 24th June.

It is a beautifully written but heartbreaking and powerful story set in India during the partition.

Ma and Bappu are liberal intellectuals teaching at Delhi University. Their fourteen year old daughter, precocious, headstrong Alma, is soon to be married to a fair-haired boy who is training to be a doctor. ama is mostly interested in the wedding shoes and in spinning wild stories about evil spirits for her belived younger sister Roop, a wild child obsessed with death.

Ma and Bappu are uneasy about theur daughter marrying so young, but political unrest is brewing, and times are bad for girls in India. When partition happens this extraordinary family is torn apart, but resilience of the human spirit is an extraordinary thing...

Beyond is a brilliantly written account of Yuri Ga Beyond is a brilliantly written account of Yuri Gagarin's epic journey into space.

Brimming with detail and reading like a thriller, the book is a great read.

We are absolutely delighted to be hosting a zoom event with Stephen Walker on April 8th, just a few days before the 60th anniversary of the day Yuri became the first human to leave our planet and journey into space.

My 1960's editions of the Ladybird What to Look fo My 1960's editions of the Ladybird What to Look for...series are much loved.

Revised editions have just been published. These contain both new illustrations and new text, reflecting environmental changes to our naural world as well as design changes needed to engage a new, young audience.

Nothing will replace my originals, but it is great to see these vibrant new versions and good to know that the original message about exploring the world around us is still alive.

We were disappointed to miss out on all our planned live events last year, including one with Clover Stroud.

My Wild and Sleepless Nights examines what it means to be a mother, and reveals unflinching honesty and the many conflicting emotions that this entails: the joy and the wonder, the loneliness and the despair.

Available from our Bookshopdotorg page, link in bio.
