Our Leominster group started meeting in March 2019. We meet in the Leominster store on the third Thursday of every month. Run by our bookseller Lucy, meetings are quite informal, fun, friendly and welcoming to all. We would love to see you there. You can contact the Leominster shop 01568 611766 for more information.
There is no cost to join the group and refreshments will be made available on the night.
We offer 10% discount on chosen book group titles within the shop.
**IMPORTANT INFORMATION** Due to public health concerns we have decided to postpone bookgroup meetings for March, April and May. The book choices below will be retained and read at a later date. This period may have to be extended further. Many thanks for your understanding.
The next books selected by our Leominster Book Group are:
Candide, Or Optimism by Voltaire
‘Candide is an open-minded young man whose tutor, Pangloss, has instilled in him the belief, inspired by Leibniz, that ‘all is for the best in this, the best of all possible worlds’… As he and his various companions roam over the world, an outrageous series of disasters befall them… sorely testing the young hero’s optimism.’ (Description courtesy of Penguin)
The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte
